Come and enjoy the smooth, rolling fairways of one of Western Pennsylvania's premiere golf courses! Nestled within the rural hills just outside Brookville, PA, this semi-private golf course is just what you're looking for. Pinecrest will challenge your golfing skills and satisfy your taste for quality with our fine dining and Pro Shop. With our low membership and daily greens fee rates, this is the place for you!
The original golf course, which we know as the back nine, was once the private property of the Sam Henderson Family. Mr. Henderson wanted to share his love for the game of golf with others, so a meeting was held at the local YMCA on April 22, 1926 to organize the Brookville Tennis and Golf Club.
Mr. Frank Leathers was chosen as the first President. The club house was built by Ray Richards, a local contractor, in 1927. Upon the death of her husband, Mrs. Henderson deeded 75 acres of land in Union Township to Pinecrest.
The course opened an additional nine holes in the spring of 1962.
Pinecrest Country Club is the home course of Career Amateur Nathan T. Smith, West Penn Golf Association's player of the decade. Nathan has a number of championships to his credit. Notably, he's a four time champion (no one else has ever done this) of the USGA Mid-Am Tournament, winning in 2012, 2010, 2009, and 2003. As a result of his winning, he had the honor to play in four Master's Tournaments, his most recent, in 2013. He was also a member of three team championships; the 2009 USGA State Team Championship, playing for Pennsylvania; and a member of the victorious 2009 and 2013 Walker Cup Teams. Nathan was also a member of the 2011 Walker Cup Team. We are Pinecrest Proud!
